Basic Botox®/Vistabel® Training
Our Basic Botox®/Vistabel® Training aims to introduce you to the subject of Botulinum toxin-A and its usage in the upper face. No prior knowledge is required.
The subjects covered are:
· The history of botulinum toxin-A and its evolvement into a medical and cosmetic treatment.
· The pharmacology and toxicology of botulinum toxin-A
· Commercial preparations available. (We use Vistabel®/Botox® from Allergan for this course)
· Contraindications to treatment and management of side effects.
· Anatomy of facial muscles and clinical presentation of different clients, considering the differing effects that the same treatment may have in different individuals.
· Reconstitution of product, storage and disposal.
· Mapping out treatment sites for glabella, forehead and crow's feet areas.
· Injection technique for above areas.
· Providing a botulinum toxin-A service and medico-legal issues with guidelines from the MHRA and the NMC.

Advanced Botox®/Vistabel® Training
This Advanced Botox®/Vistabel® training course is for those who are competent at basic Botox®/Vistabel® administration. As well as a basic review of the product botulinum toxin-A, we look at advanced usage for:
· Sub-orbital treatment
· Peri-oral treatment
· Oral commissures
· Popply and cleft chin
· Platysmal bands
· Necklace lines
· Treatment for hyperhidrosis
All our Botox®/Vistabel® Training courses include 100U of Botox®/Vistabel® to inject on the day.
Please note that Botox®/Vistabel® is a prescription only medication. Non prescribing nurses who successfully complete our Botox® training courses are eligible to subscribe to the Harley Aesthetics remote prescribing service. More details on request.
